Our centre for trauma services and obstetrics is at Conquest Hospital, while our centre for urology and stroke services is at Eastbourne DGH. At Bexhill Hospital we offer a range of outpatient, day surgery, rehabilitation and intermediate care services. At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.
In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.
Job overview
An exciting opportunity to join our Technology Enhanced Development team to support the ongoing development of our Totara Learning Management System.
This role will take the lead on administration and compliance functions to ensure our Totara Learning Management System (LMS) is up-to-date and provides our staff with accurate records/reports on training and education and access to our full range of learning and development opportunities.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a small team of administrators and ensure that sufficient course capacity is available to enable our staff to maintain their mandatory and essential training compliance along with other opportunities to develop their skills. They will be responsible for providing accurate reports to support Managers and Subject Leads to maintain and improve training compliance. This role will suit someone who has an eye for detail and a passion for developing processes to ensure a streamlined and efficient service is provided by all members of the team. Good communication and excel skills will be key attributes.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the TED Team and wider Trust colleagues to maximise use of our LMS and contribute to further innovations of the system and TEL agenda.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to A Level standard
- Diploma/Apprenticeship in a relevant subject (eg Learning and Development, Business Administration/Management, CIPD etc) or can demonstrate relevant experience
- Evidence of on-going relevant professional development (eg management and leadership)
- Willingness to undertake development in education, leadership, management, change management, communication (as required)
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of continued professional development to post graduate diploma level, degree or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
- Project management qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within a healthcare setting
- Experience of working within an Education or Compliance setting
- Experience and knowledge of systems management using a learning management system (preferably Totara)
- Proven ability to contribute to team working and to develop good working relationships with staff at all levels
- Experienced user of MS Office packages including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook/NHS Mail
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage changing and/or conflicting deadlines
- High level of communication/ interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the organisation and with excellent customer service values
Desirable criteria
- Experience of database management and information systems
