The Conquest Hospital in Hastings and our Community Services were rated ‘Outstanding’ and Eastbourne DGH was rated ‘Good’ Our two acute hospitals have Emergency Departments and provide 24 hour a day care, offering a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, outpatient and maternity services, supported by a full range of diagnostic and therapy services. 


In the summer of 2020, the Trust launched its ambitious ‘Building for our Future’ (BFF) programme. This once in a lifetime programme aims to redevelop and expand our hospitals at Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come.

Our centre for trauma services and obstetrics is at Conquest Hospital, while our centre for urology and stroke services is at Eastbourne DGH. At Bexhill Hospital we offer a range of outpatient, day surgery, rehabilitation and intermediate care services. At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.

In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.

 

Trosolwg o'r swydd

An exciting opportunity for a registered Nuclear Medicine radiographer or technologist has arisen within the Nuclear Medicine team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

Applications are invited from persons with previous experience of working in Nuclear Medicine holding a post graduate Nuclear Medicine qualification e.g. PG Cert, PG Dip or equivalent.

The successful candidate will work cross site at Eastbourne District General Hospital and Conquest Hospital (St Leonards on Sea).

The Eastbourne site has a Siemens Symbia T16 SPECT/CT gamma camera (due for replacement in 2024). The Conquest site has a GE 870DR SPECT CT Gamma Camera

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

To act as an operator undertaking a range of static, dynamic, whole body and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography-Computed Tomography (SPECT-CT) procedures as per departmental procedures and protocols and to participate fully in the operation and function of the Nuclear Medicine service.

Routine diagnostic imaging includes; Bone – Oncology, MSK. Tumour – Tektrotyd, MIBG, Tc PSMA. Neurology – DAT. Endocrine – Parathyroid, Thyroid Uptake. Cardiac – Myocardial Perfusion, Cardiac Amyloid, MUGA, Cardiac Innervation. Renal – MAG3, DMSA, Indirect Cystogram, GI – HIDA, Gastric Empty, SeHcat, Meckels. Lymphatics – Breast SLN, Lymphoscintigram.

The department also administer I-131 for benign thyroid disease.

The successful candidate will be required to dispense and administer radiopharmaceuticals, undertake high quality imaging and post processing of images, leading to the provision of an efficient and effective imaging service.
