At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.

In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.

 

Job overview

We are recruiting to the role of Project Support Officer within our Community Health and Integrated Care Division to work alongside our AHP Rehabilitation Consultant, Post Covid Service staff and Project Support Officers to support the Quality Improvement projects focusing on acute rehabilitation transformation as part of the implementation of the Rehabilitation Strategy. It’s an exciting journey to be a part of!

This post is offered as a Secondment, please ensure that you have agreement from your current Line Manager prior to applying.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a passionate person who works well in a team environment, is highly motivated and committed, enjoys autonomy within their role and can support a variety of projects using their initiative and knowhow to move things forward. This role will require frequent travel across all ESHT sites.

The ESHT Rehabilitation strategy is focused on improving the quality and performance of our acute and community services to deliver high quality rehabilitation across East Sussex. This is a dynamic and changing environment, and the strategy is working to support our staff, teams and the organisation as a whole to make meaningful changes that bring about improvements in rehabilitation for the benefit of our population living in East Sussex.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Recognised IT qualification or evidence of equivalent IT training – strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Email.
  • Proven CPD in audit / project planning, to diploma / NVQ4 level or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Project support/ management qualification
  • Presentation skills training

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Recent NHS administration experience in an acute or community trust
  • Substantial experience of data collection and analysis and/or audit.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in taking minutes in meetings with complex discussions.
  • Experience working with Allied Health Professionals

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.
  • The ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work responsibly and with a high degree of autonomy. High level of attention to detail.
Desirable criteria
  • Credibility among clinicians, senior managers and colleagues.
