Our centre for trauma services and obstetrics is at Conquest Hospital, while our centre for urology and stroke services is at Eastbourne DGH. At Bexhill Hospital we offer a range of outpatient, day surgery, rehabilitation and intermediate care services. At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.

In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.

 

Job overview

An opportunity to join the People Engagement Team and  support the People Experience Manager, and the People Engagement Leads by providing high quality administrative and organisation support on a range of people experience and engagement initiatives and workstreams.

Main duties will be to  provide administrative support to the Corporate Induction and Appraisal programmes for all who join and work at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust .

This role will be based at Eastbourne DGH  with some cross site cover needed when necessary to cover leave. This will be known in advance. Flexibility with working days and hours.

 

Main duties of the job

To provide administrative support to the Corporate Induction and Appraisal programmes.

The postholder will have contact with a wide variety of individuals of differing bands and staff groups and therefore tact, diplomacy and sensitivity are essential pre-requisites for this post.

 The postholder will work as part of the wider administrative team but also work independently, managing their workload and regularly prioritising and planning their workload to meet service need and demands of the role.

  • Good general level of education to GCSE level C or equivalent with English and Maths

  • Shorthand/speedwriting qualification

Experience

  • Good knowledge of administrative procedures, acquired through training and/or previous experience of working in an administrative environment

  • Experience of working in a large complex organisation
