Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a motivated, dedicated team of Help desk Operatives at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

The successful candidate will be an essential part of the hospital team. They will take calls from all areas of the hospitals liaising with Team Leaders, Department Heads, Coordinators and Supervisors. Their primary aim is the welfare of our patients, visitors and staff ensuring a high quality, prompt and efficient service. They will work as a dispatcher, accurately recording information on the computer and communicating in a timely clear manner via radio, telephone and in writing. Operatives will be expected to undertake duties within the wider Soft FM team which will provide them with insight into roles within the services giving a greater understanding making them an effective Operative, training will be provided.

  • Previous Experience of a Help Desk Operative or Receptionist using Telephones
  • Clearly spoken and understanding of the English Language - Good Communication Skills

  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • Previous Experience working with the Public
