We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and motivated new member of the team, with a passion for widening participation - work experience placements, apprenticeships, T-Levels, functional skills, and other fantastic schemes.

This is a coordination role, requiring administrative skills, intuition and communication. You will be working closely within a team who will support you to achieve great results.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the delivery of the Workforce Development team, particularly the apprenticeship and widening participation programmes.
  • Be a point of contact for general queries including but not limited to apprenticeships, T-Levels, functional skills and work experience placements.
  • Administrate the work experience programme with senior support and guidance.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Work closely with Widening Participation Manager and Clinical Apprenticeship Lead on Workforce Development project delivery, taking actions while also working on own initiative.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Trust services, schools and colleges to support work experience and T-Level placements in the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Trust staff wanting to develop their careers via apprenticeships and other courses.
  • Involvement in the Widening Participation project Oversight Group to communicate with other participants and take on board actions related to project delivery.
  • Enrol staff onto Functional Skills programmes via approved providers.
  • Support Clinical Apprentice Lead and Widening Participation Manager with enrolment and recruitment of apprentices.
  • Support Widening Participation Manager with the work experience programme and assist in arranging and confirming placements.
  • Monitor, file and record apprenticeship, work experience and other widening participation paperwork, sending to relevant parties to obtain signatures if and when required.
  • Monitor and record data and information related to areas of responsibility.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of courses, workshops and other sessions, both online and face-to-face, related to area of knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English and Maths C/4 or above, or equivalent qualifications
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 3 in Business Admin, or equivalent level of experience

Experience

  • Experience of office working adhering to relevant Standard Operating Procedures
  • Experience of face-to-face or telephone communication, to interpret and act on information
  • Experience of coordinating activities or people
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of using workforce or educational systems
  • Experience of using databases or spreadsheets

Skills and knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisational and time management skills
