Employer heading
Spiritual Care Lead (job Share)
NHS AfC: Band 7
Job overview
Owing to the current postholder reducing their working hours we
are in a position to recruit to a job share partner for the Trusts
Spiritual Care lead.
This post will require a suitably qualified individual with
significant experience of having worked in a senior spiritual
care/chaplaincy role within a large/complex organisation.
As a community Trust, the Spiritual Care Model here is not centred
around inpatient beds but is dispersed across a large geography
and is responsible for recruitment and governance of volunteer
chaplains within our various inpatient areas. The postholder will
have responsibilities to provide accurate, high-quality education
and information for staff caring for patients and families from a
wide range of religious/belief backgrounds and also to offer direct
pastoral care to staff of all faiths and none.
The Spiritual Care lead is based in a small team which provides
wellbeing support to staff and is also expected to contribute to a
formal Mediation service for staff following appropriate training.
This role is different to usual spiritual care/chaplaincy roles and
therefore any applicants are strongly advised to contact
