An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Estates and Facilities Department at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

The Capital Development Projects Team are looking for an estates Building Technician who is hard working, committed and thrives in a team environment.

You will assist and provide support to the Capital Development Projects Team in respect to Projects, Property and Space within the Trust. You will be proficient in the production of CAD drawings.

The successful candidate for this job requires the following:

  • Higher National Certificate or Diploma or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant building, engineering or design subject.
  • Experience of working as a CAD Operator or in a similar design practice.
  • Sound specialist knowledge of building design, mechanical and electrical services.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

Main duties of this job include the following:

  • To be part of the Capital Development Projects Team to assist and provide support in respect to projects, property, space and sustainability management within the Trust.
  • The purpose of the job is to assist in the organisation and management of all ACAD work.
  • To carry out survey work, update master drawings as new projects are completed and maintain existing Trust records.
  • To produce ACAD drawings as required for capital projects, space planning and property transactions.
  • To provide professional and technical advice and guidance regarding ACAD systems and related software for the Estates and Facilities Directorate.
  • To be responsible for a wide range of electronic documents, data, and information relating to the Trust's Estate.
  • To be responsible for maintaining, updating and producing reports from MICAD system which is the Trusts property management system.
