An exciting opportunity has arisen for a kind and dedicated administrator / individual to join our friendly and dedicated team at a busy dementia inpatient assessment ward at Foss Park Hospital

Wold View is an inpatient mental health ward providing services and delivering care to older people in the York & Selby  area.

The ward is situated in the purpose build hospital just 10 minutes drive from York City Centre.  The hospital benefits from free on-site parking and is easily accessed by car, bus and bicycle.

As a member of the team name, you will work in an inpatient ward office, alongside another clinical team administrator to provide support to the clinical staff within the ward.

The ward office is an area of high activity, and no two days are the same.  If you are looking for a new challenge, enjoy variety in your work and are looking to be part of a team striving to make a difference, we will welcome your application for this role.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

This role is at the heart of the multi-disciplinary team and is a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations.  As part of the administration team you will work closely with clinicians, healthcare support workers, porters, catering staff etc. to ensure that they have everything they need to provide the best possible care to our service users. 

We are looking for someone who feels comfortable multi-tasking in a busy environment and that can prioritise their workload and work to deadlines. An individual with excellent understanding and experience of using IT software such as Microsoft Office which will be used to maintain the trust systems and processes.

The successful candidate will have contact with service users, families and carers as well as members of the public, and will require excellent interpersonal skills and possess and uphold the trust values of Respect, Compassion and Responsibility.

  • Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent (or willingness to achieve within an agreed timescale)
  • ITQ Level 2 or equivalent or willingness to work towards
  • Key skills/functional skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above) / New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9).

Experience

  • Experience of working in an administrative environment (diary management, filing systems, meeting coordination, minute talking, data input, collating and presenting information).
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Experience of working autonomously and proactively.

  • administrative experience in a clinical or health care support environment.
