Due to the current post holder taking a 12 month secondment opportunity. The Children and Young People Community Eating Disorder Service (TCYP-CEDS) are seeking to recruit a CAMHS Clinician on a secondment opportunity to work in the Teesside area. This post requires the candidate to have a professional registration Child, mental health or Learning disability nurse, social worker or occupational therapist.
The TCYP-CEDS in TEWV works to improve the lives of people with mental health conditions by minimising the impact of eating disorders and co-morbidities through the delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and wellbeing.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well-motivated, forward-thinking clinician to work as part of our team for this exciting opportunity.
Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.

The team is multi-disciplinary and provides specialist assessments, treatment and interventions for young people suffering from eating disorders and co-morbidities.
The successful applicant will ideally already be trained in a governed evidence based therapy such as CBT, FT, or be trained as a Non Medical Prescriber (NMP).
They will be responsible for their own caseload and ensuring the highest professional standards and attitudes towards the care of children and young people are maintained at all times and that care is delivered in accordance with evidence based practice by all members of the team.
They will provide clinical/professional advice on complex issues to other members of the clinical team and staff from other disciplines.
They will be required to accompany and provide support to children and young people within a variety of community settings, dependent on current risk assessment. This may include education and community integration.

Qualification

- Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area (within agreed timescale)
- 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework
- Depending on work area, recognised sign-off mentor (or equivalent) or must be achieved within agreed timescale.
- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)

- Leadership or management qualification.
- Certificate in teaching & assessing in clinical practice as appropriate to own profession.
- CAMHS Degree
- Recognised qualification in a specific model of therapy e.g. family therapy, CBT etc
- Recognised training in Facilitation of Parenting Groups
Experience

- Working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers.
- Providing clinical supervision.

- Significant experience working with children and young people with mental ill health in a community setting.
Knowledge

- Demonstrable knowledge to post-graduate level of evidence-based practice in caring for children and young people in the designated field.
- Research and development methodology.
- Understanding of psychological models of care and treatment.
Skills

- Provide leadership and monitor, co-ordinate and prioritise the activities of a team.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and undertake lead professional / care co-ordinator responsibilities
- Provide effective clinical supervision, teaching, training and assessing in clinical practice.
