Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join NHS Talking Therapies Southampton Steps2Wellbeing. The service offers a range of evidence based talking therapies for common mental health problems.

The service provides a range of Step 2 and Step 3 psychological therapy options including Low and High Intensity CBT, Psycho-educational groups and Counselling.

We need a full time Team Administrator, Monday to Friday with Saturdays and evenings by rota. The individual will be able to ensure a confidential, efficient and comprehensive administrative service is provided to the Steps2Wellbeing clients and staff.  You will be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs and the ability to think creatively. Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative and maintaining strict confidentiality are also essential.

The successful applicant will need to be able to work occasional evening shifts (12-8pm) and Saturdays on a rota basis.

Training will take place in the office, but once trained, this post will be split between home working and office cover in Southampton.

Main duties of the job

This is an excellent opportunity for people with the appropriate skills, including the ability to manage a high volume of calls, occasionally handle distressed clients and provide a high level of customer care, to join a highly motivated and committed team.

The successful applicants will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working. You will have good customer care communication skills, an excellent telephone manner, attention to detail, the ability to cope with complex tasks using a database which requires input and questioning of client information and previous experience of working in a busy office environment. You must be able to work accurately under pressure, whilst remaining calm and courteous and be able to work well as part of a team.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
