Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a main reception supervisor to join #TeamUHD, overseeing the provision of an effective, customer focussed administrative service for the main receptions at Poole and Royal Bournemouth Hospitals.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who is approachable and able to interact with a variety of people, while also having good IT skills to access and enter data onto a variety of systems.

You'll supervise the existing receptionists across both sites, including the rota, training and managing any issues that may occur. Working closely with the admin manager, you'll be willing to work at our Bournemouth site and able to work flexibly with colleagues to cover any gaps that may arise.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Vocational Level 3 or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Customer service training or experience
Desirable criteria
  • Willingness to undertake further training when required

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Clear understanding of confidentiality / GDPR
  • High level of understanding of IT packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with staff at all levels within the Trust and Multi-disciplinary teams
Desirable criteria
  • Confident telephone manner

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of a busy customer based environment
  • Experience of rostering and supervising a team

Knowledge
