Job overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Management Accountant to work within a friendly team based at the Trust's headquarters in Poole.  

This post is full time, 37.5 hours per week,  with a mix of office and home working.  Flexible working patterns always considered.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide timely, accurate and relevant financial advice, support and information to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will hold a professional accountancy qualification to post-graduate diploma level or have demonstrable equivalent experience. In addition, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well organised and have a positive and professional attitude.

Knowledge, skills and training

Essential criteria
  • Professional accountancy qualification to post-graduate diploma level, e.g. managerial or intermediate level CIMA, Part II ACCA, Diploma level CIPFA, or equivalent experience.

Job specific experience

  • Experience in Budgetary Control Financial planning and forecasting
  • Costing knowledge and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to people at all levels within the organisation
  • Evidence of past achievements and ability to deliver
Desirable criteria
  • Corporate awareness
  • Knowledge and experience of financial aspects of NHS legislation and NHS finance policies including Foundation Trust regime
