Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of Medical Rotas within Unscheduled Care.
- Coordinating the Medical Rotas for the Emergency Department including supporting with recruitment and HR processes.
- To be the first point of contact for both Middle grade and Junior Doctors for medical rota queries including annual leave and study leave.
We offer support to develop business skills and experience needed for progression within an interesting and varied role in a fast moving environment.
What you will have:
- Recent experience in working operationally in a healthcare setting
- Good communication skills and can engage with the multidisciplinary team effectively.
- The ability to use own initiative and make informed decisions

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level Grade C or above or equivalent, including English and Maths.
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of knowledge.
Desirable criteria
- Training in related areas to support professional and personal and skill development
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant & recent experience of working at a similar level within a healthcare setting, in a hands-on operational role.
- Experience of computer systems, to include Microsoft Office in a working environment.
- Experience of working with staff at all levels
- Experience of setting up, developing and maintaining systems both manual and electronic
- Evidence of effective communication skills both written and oral
- Evidence of ability to exercise judgment when dealing with queries and to analyse and resolve problems
