An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse within our Cardiology Department, on Ward 24. Our Ward has a close working relationship within the Cardiology speciality; this includes The Coronary Care Unit, Cardiac Intervention unit and The Cath Labs.
The successful applicant will be motivated, enthusiastic, work well as part of a team and individually. They will be expected to work a fully flexible work pattern with rotation to night duty.
In return we will provide the successful applicant with training and development opportunities and to work within our effective friendly team on ward 24.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Tech
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable ability with vital signs monitoring equipment and ability to recognise the deteriorating patient
- Non IV and IV medication administration
- Experience in complying with nursing, infection control and risk management polices
Desirable criteria
- Experience of clinical skills such as: ECG recording, CVC, Cannulation and Venepuncture, Male catheterisation
- Specific skills relevant to specialty eg. Caring for ascitic drains
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
Desirable criteria
- SLIP trained/ mentorship course
- Post registration courses related to specialty
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable clinical experience
Desirable criteria
- Previous Cardiology Experience
- Experience of End of life care
