Are you newly qualified or an established practitioner looking to grow your career with an experienced workforce?

Bournemouth and Christchurch  CAMHS have a development opportunity with a view to gaining training, experience, and support with the move into a Band 6 post on successful completion.

As a CAMHS Community Practitioner you you will be supported by a multidisciplinary team to help deliver therapeutic interventions to children, young people and their families, who have been referred to Bournemouth and Christchurch CAMHS.

We offer a robust training programme and preceptorship if newly qualified.

This is a developmental role, with entry level requirements for Band 5 CAMHS Community Practitioner with progression to Band 6 CAMHS Community Practitioner with fully developed requirements (in addition to entry level) on demonstration of competencies.

You will be supported in your clinical work, and professional development, with ongoing close & supportive supervision from the Team Leader together with an agreed programme of training and development.

Having experience of working in a community mental health environment would be useful, but not essential. 

You will help deliver high standards of clinical practice when working with all young people and their families/carers, in addition to liaising with relevant agencies in the delivery of care to young people and their families.

On progression you will:
Provide sound interventions in the individualised packages of care for young people suffering from mental health difficulties aged 12 to 18 inclusive. 

Liaise with relevant agencies in the delivery of care to young people and their families.

Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children, young people and their families, who are under Poole CAMHS.

  • Recent previous experience within a comparable role

  • Demonstrable ability to analyse situations and provide a resolution
