Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to offer posts to join our friendly, welcoming and compassionate Midwifery Team as one of our combined Triage/ Day Assessment and Antenatal Clinic Midwives.
As one of our team you'll provide high quality care outpatient care to women and birthing people. To thrive in this role you'll need to have excellent communication skills, a robust knowledge of midwifery practice and enjoy working in a busy environment.

Main duties of the job
- Undertake clinical assessment of maternal and fetal wellbeing over the telephone and in person.
- Provide immediate clinical care to women and birthing people.
- Plan, implement and evaluate immediate and ongoing care plans to promote the wellbeing of women and birthing people.
- Provide advice to women, birthing people and families as required
- Provide support to Consultants within High Risk Consultant clinics
Working for our organisation
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is a District General Hospital that provides health and social care to patients, service users and their families across South Devon.
The maternity service provides care to approximately 2000 pregnant people and their families. Care is provided through 6 fully integrated midwifery teams, with each pregnant person having a named midwife responsible for co-ordinating their care. The midwifery teams are supported by the wider-multi disciplinary team based at Torbay Hospital.
Early pregnancy care (up to 14 weeks gestation) may be provided by the early pregnancy unit service, along with the urgent and emergency care team as indicated.

- Evidence of continued professional development
- Preceptor programme complete
Desirable criteria
- Mentorship qualification
- Cannulation
- Experience of working in a ANC/DAU/triage setting

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
