Independent Non-Executive Member

£13,000 - £17,000

Trosolwg o'r swydd

NHS Devon Integrated Care Board (ICB) is looking for a number of INEMs who can bring a range of professional expertise, as well as community understanding, to the work of the Board in order to help us tackle our longstanding issues, and help us achieve our vision of 'equal chances for everyone in Devon to lead long, happy and healthy lives'. This is a unique opportunity for the right individuals to help shape the future of health and care services for the 1.2 million people in the county.

Devon is a system with many examples of excellent care across primary, community, secondary, mental health, and the care sector, and a proud track record of some of the most established integrated working in the country.

As we mature as an integrated care system (ICS) and ICB, we must transform ourselves to build on these successes and rise to the challenges that we face now and make ourselves ready for the ones that lie ahead.

With an annual budget of £2.3 billion, NHS Devon is responsible for commissioning high-quality and innovative health and care services that meet the needs of the local population within the available resources.

PLEASE REFER TO THE INEM CANDIDATE PACK ATTACHED TO THIS VACANCY FOR FULL INFORMATION AND HOW TO APPLY.

The role of the INEM will be to work alongside the Chair, other INEMs, executive directors and partner members and as equal members of the unitary board.  We require INEMS that will bring independent and respectful challenge to the plans, aims and priorities of the ICB. Furthermore they will promote open and transparent decision-making that facilitates consensus aimed to deliver exceptional outcomes for the population. INEMs play a vital role in building and maintaining excellent relationships with a range of key partners. They will drive our strategic vision through partnerships and ensure a focus on putting the patient and service user first and making the best use of our collective resources.

We serve a diverse population, with complex health and care needs, comprising both rural and urban areas, extremes of affluence and deprivation, as well as significant health inequalities.

This vision is the golden thread through our Integrated Care Strategy and Joint Forward Plan, which set out how we will deliver joined-up, preventative health, care and support services to all.

We have a strong commitment from all our partners to make our vision a reality and to make a real difference to our residents and communities, by working together.

PLEASE REFER TO THE INEM CANDIDATE PACK ATTACHED TO THIS VACANCY FOR FULL INFORMATION AND HOW TO APPLY.

NHS Devon Integrated Care System

As an Integrated Care System (ICS), we recognise now more than ever that we can only provide the care that people really need by working together. Together for Devon therefore represents a partnership where health and care services work together with local communities to improve peoples health, wellbeing and care. It aims to transform health and care services so they are clinically, socially and financially sustainable.

Our vision is simple: equal chances for everyone in Devon to lead long, happy and healthy lives. To achieve this, we have set out six ambitions for the next five years that will help us transform services including: Effective and efficient care, embedding the Integrated Care Model, the Devon deal (a citizen-led approach to health and care), Children and young people, Digital Devon and ensuring Equality.

About NHS Devon
