Job overview

We are looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse who will be responsible for the provision of care as part of a team on a 20 bedded unit for people from 18 years upwards.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be able to communicate with internal and external partners as required. To take charge of a cohort of patients and as appropriate to act up to take charge of the unit in the absence of senior staff.

To be part of internal rotation to support 24 hour care within the unit to support the needs of the department.

 

Main duties of the job

  • To support in the assessment, implementation and review of holistic patient requirements. Being able to delegate where appropriate to colleagues to support in the provision of safe care for patients.
  • To administer medication safely and with due diligence and monitor effectiveness or manage any adverse reaction within own abilities
  • To have a high level of communication skill that can be adapted to meet the needs of the situation and person.
  • To be able to maintain written records that are legible.
