At Team University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) we are driving to be the best place to work, learn and deliver exceptional care to our patients. We are one of the largest employers in our region with over 13,000 colleagues. Our workforce is diverse as are the communities we serve across Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and self-motivated Band 6 Senior Therapeutic Radiographers to join our Radiotherapy Team. You will work as a rotational member of the team working in both pre-treatment and treatment delivery with the additional opportunity to work in the Radiotherapy planning area of the department.

We have 4 Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, two of which have Vision RT Surface Guided Radiotherapy. We are a Varian department using Aria and the Eclipse planning system.

Our other equipment includes Philips Big Bore CT with full Ambient Lighting Experience, Superficial Xray Therapy; Nucletron HDR Brachytherapy; and Eclipse external beam planning system. We operate all equipment on the Varian ARIA platform.

As a progressive teaching centre for Student Radiotherapists the trust has established links with Sheffield Hallam University where our educational facilities include a seminar room. The Trust actively encourages CPD and role extension with support available to pursue academic courses to further develop and enhance your skills.

Experience

  • Extensive experience working as a qualified therapeutic radiographer
  • Knowledge of a wide range of Radiotherapy techniques
