Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivated individual with operational experience and staff management experience to join the Imaging Business Unit Management team as a Service Coordinator. 

This is an exciting role for someone wishing to further develop your operational management experience. You will work closely with the Operational management team. You will be responsible for the day to day operational coordination and efficient running of the services whilst working closely with the Service Manager/General Manager to support the delivery of key performance management targets within the Business Unit and wider Trust. 

This role will involve leading the expanding Admin and Clerical team across the business unit. With responsibility for multiple modalities and medical secretarial teams. 

The role covers all of our sites, where UHDB have Imaging services but will be primarily based at both the Royal Derby and Queens Hospital sites.

Main duties of the job

You will play a key role in the operational support of the Business Unit, working with Lead Clinicians and clinical teams to ensure the systems and processes are in place to meet local and national targets, both operationally and wider.

You will be required to ensure the delivery of services by providing leadership, support and guidance on operational related issues to both clinical and non-clinical staff.

Support the Service Manager in setting and delivering the strategic direction for the Admin and Clerical team. 

Be responsible for the day-to-day efficient and effective operational management of the defined service areas.

Plan and manage the implementation of projects to modernise services and to improve facilities and working practices for the relevant teams.

Support and lead the admin and clerical team providing direction and support planning to ensure delivery of key targets.
