An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the UGI Secretarial team. 

The post holder will be a motivated team player with excellent communication skills both verbally and written, along with exceptional problem solving and advanced organisational skills.

The post holder will be required to work independently using high level of initiative to manage and prioritise a busy workload independently without direct supervision.

This role will support an UGI Consultant Surgeon responsible for management of the waiting list and day to day secretarial duties.

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate good customer service skills as interaction with patients and relatives will be a daily occurrence and may require a sensitive approach.

Essential qualities include strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure; with the ability to prioritise work duties and responsibilities.

You will have a broad range of administrative skills including:

  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of secretarial or administrative procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Thorough knowledge of the 18 week RTT process
  • Experience of using IT systems such as Outlook, Excel, Lorenzo and ORMIS
  • Typing skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills
