Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for;

The post holder will be the SRO (senior responsible officer) for managing the delivery of Digital services across the Trust.  This includes ensuring that digital technology and services align with the Trusts clinical services strategy and supporting strategies and that business and clinical requirements are reflected in our technology.

The post holder will act as the lead officer for the Trust with regards to digital services and digital strategy, reporting to the Executive Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO).  This will include responsibility for ensuring the development and implementation of the Trust’s Digital Strategy is in line with business needs, national requirements and the Derbyshire and Staffordshire ICSs.

Working jointly with the Trust, Chief Analytics Officer, Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) and Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) the post holder will ensure that all IM&T related issues are monitored and addressed through excellent service management and the effective management of any associated contracts.

Ensure that the Trust meets its obligations around data standards/quality, statutory returns and national reporting.

Direct and lead the Trust’s response to the opportunities and risks presented by national initiatives and developments in technology ensuring that it meets its requirements actively looks to utilise emerging technologies where they support improvements in care or Trust efficiency

Providing leadership to Digital services ensuring they are responsive and flexible to the Trusts needs with resilient staffing structures and manage the informatics budgets and procurements ensuring cost-effective services and that the procurements rules are followed

Provide expert strategic advice and direction to the Trust Board of Directors when appropriate and necessary.

Act as the Trusts lead officer for Digital when dealing with national bodies ensuring the Trust is able to influence and implement national informatics policy. Represent the Trust on ICS Digital Boards and other regional informatics groups.

Ensure that the Digital Governance arrangements are robust and sit clearly within the Trust overall governance arrangements

Accountability and responsibility for developing and delivering the Trust’s Digital Strategy ensuring it is appropriately prioritised to support the Trust Strategy and describes the vision, direction and principles for provision of robust, future-proof Digital services across the NHS and other partner agencies.

  • Master’s degree in an IT or analytical based subject

Experience

  • Substantial demonstrable experience of the full Digital lifecycle from strategy through to service management and delivery within large organisations
  • Substantial experience of large (multi- £million) programmes of Digitally enabled change in both public and private sector contexts
  • Able to demonstrate strong experience of organisational development and change management / continuous improvement
  • Excellent understanding and experience of Information Governance and Cyber Security requirements of a large organisation

Skills
