Job overview

We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to join the Surgery Business Team on a 9-month, temporary basis supporting a maternity cover.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making within our organisation, particularly with respect to the Trust's RTT performance.

You will work closely with healthcare professionals and managers to extract, analyse and interpret data, providing valuable insights to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Main duties of the job

 

  • Assisting the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and team with RTT waiting time and other performance standards analysis.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of RTT trajectories and improvement scenarios.
  • Work with Divisional Business Analysts to create activity plans for the 2025-26 Planning round, linked to meeting RTT national compliance targets.
  • Develop and automate models for RTT trajectories.
  • Lead Demand and Capacity for RTT, supporting services in using and interpreting models.
  • Ensure effective data capture for RTT performance monitoring.
  • Benchmark UHDB RTT performance with peers to identify improvement areas
  • Proven experience in a Data Analyst role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in developing and automating models for performance tracking.
  • Proficiency in using business intelligence tools (SQL, Power bi) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of RTT performance standards and reporting requirements is highly desirable.
