Job overview

The Programme Manager will have a role in supporting the Senior Operations Programme Manager in planning for and delivering an ambitious programme of vaccination, immunisation and screening for adults and children.

The role is pivotal to ensure that the population of JUCD receive timely access to a high quality and cost-effective service in the city and county.  This post will act as the conduit between all stakeholders including member practices, the PCNs, Community Pharmacies and lead providers to provide management and coordination for the locality in the delivery of the vaccination, immunisation and screening programme.

Main duties of the job

The Programme Manager is a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing the day to day programme input into team.   The post holder will work with other members of the team and wider matrix working within the JUCD system to support the effective and efficient planning and deployment of the programme on behalf of JUCD in accordance with national policy.

The Programme Manager will support the wider system to ensure that the ICB can implement and deliver a patient sensitive vaccination, immunisation and screening programme to address health inequalities and ensure high quality and cost-effective services for the population are in place.  Work is required to be undertaken at an unprecedented pace, needing an acceleration of engagement across all stakeholders as guidance is published.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Senior Operations Programme Manager as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the programme.
