Job overview

Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide and coordinate a high quality and reliable administrative service to the Place and Partnerships Team. 

Deliver an effective and competent level of administrative support and consistently deliver a “client-focused” service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships. 

This is a deadline driven role where often the team are required to meet a quick turn around of accurate minutes following meetings and updated action logs. Main duties of the job

Act as first point of contact for the department, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to stakeholders, referring to others as appropriate.

Prepare  agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required.  Supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary. 

Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised, within defined policies and procedures to set timescales.

Have a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines.

Responsible for organising meetings for the department and planning any administrative work as required.

Essential education

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative environment and working with computerised data systems
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of Data Protection legislation

  • Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own workload to set deadlines
