Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medical Directorate at Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board working as a Programme Management, Design, Quality and Assurance Manager.

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team to ensure their workstream of programmes and projects are planned and managed effectively leading to successful delivery.

The post holder will support the work of the Medical Directorate in delivering high quality, safe and effective care across care pathways within Joined Up Care Derbyshire (JUCD), whilst delivering Population Health Management, Prevention, and the effective reduction in Health Inequalities.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will

§    Lead national and local projects to support the delivery of the Integrated Care Strategy and NHS Derby and Derbyshire Plan.

§    Lead the review of fragile services and pathways.

§    Work in partnership with stakeholders across JUCD to meet the challenging transformation and efficiency agenda.

§    Lead the production of documentation to the expected standard and report against milestones and delivery of current and future projects.

§    Implementation and co-ordination of strategy.

§    Line management responsibilities and matrix management of Senior Officers.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area;
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments;

Communication Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required;

Analytical

Essential criteria
  • Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources;

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales.
