Job overview

We are looking to recruit to the post of Senior Nursing and Quality Manager role in the Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB).

 

The role is responsible for assurances of quality and safety of commissioned services in Derby and Derbyshire, providing assurance on all aspects of quality and safety in the system, and will manage the Acute Quality Team who have portfolio areas across acute services within the Derbyshire footprint. 

 

 

Main duties of the job

Applicants will need to have a background in quality assurance and improvement and experience of working across different sectors of health and social care. The role sits as part of the Nursing and Quality Directorate Portfolio within the ICB and is open to candidates with an active NMC registration and professional nursing background.

 

The Post Holder will lead workstreams within the ICB quality and IPC agendas, working with other Directorates and Providers to capture aspects of safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience to support the governance, assurance, and improvement processes'.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NMC Registered Nurse;
  • Specialist knowledge of the patient safety national agenda, national Quality and IPC;
  • Experience working in the NHS at a Senior Level
Desirable criteria
  • IPC Qualification
  • Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Experience in developing and implementing clinical quality and performance frameworks;
  • Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations;
Desirable criteria
  • Ability to travel independently across the region and occasionally beyond.
