We are looking for a customer focused applicant for our Administrator role within Derby Health Staffing. The Derby Health Staffing Team is responsible for the effective deployment of clinical flexible temporary workforce across Trust and this is a key role, being the first point of contact for our temporary workers, staff, agencies, and managers.
The service operates from 08:00-20:00, 7 days per week (closed 25th December and 1st January). All staff work on a 7 day roster (3/4 long days per week) to cover the service.
Full training will be provided on our systems and processes but we are looking for applicants who have experience working in a busy, fast moving team, with excellent organisational skills.

Main duties of the job
To communicate and liaise with staff within a range of disciplines and specialities, Flexible Staff, wards/departments and external suppliers. Providing Trusts with a cost effective service and flexible, value for money workforce, enabling areas to have required staffing complement at necessary skill level, supporting Trusts in their service delivery to patients.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. To communicate and liaise with Ward Areas, Bank Nurses and Nursing Agencies,
ensuring areas have required staffing complement at the necessary skill level.
2. To work with staff within a range of disciplines and specialities, both Trust
wards/departments and external suppliers, ensuring queries/complaints are effectively
resolved.
3. When required, provide unsupervised Allocations coverage out of normal office hours
working from home, making autonomous decisions on effective staffing coverage.
4. Liaise with colleagues to regularly form a weekend rota for the Allocations Team,
enabling continuity of service and ensuring an effective operation.
5. To produce and distribute reports from the Bank databases for Managers within strict
deadlines, enabling Departments to check information produced and query as necessary.
6. To check that bank/agency timesheets have been appropriately validated in preparation
for input, enabling approved audit measures to be adhered to.
7. Responsible for the continued updating of the computerised bank management system,
ensuring all staff records and data are current.
8. Participate and provide support in aspects of the recruitment and training process,
ensuring Bank Nurses are aware of Nurse Bank procedures and protocols.
