Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Administrator to join our team at Creswell and Langwith Medical centre.

You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and administration skills to work efficiently and effectively within the team.

You will to be confident in working with IT to a high level, with the ability to work under pressure using your own initiative.

Main duties of the job

Your main responsibilities:

  • Call and Recall for long term conditions, seasonal vaccinations, and cancer screening programmes
  • Updating and maintaining letter templates
  • Carry out assigned complex administrative tasks as required.
  • Action emails and electronic patient workflow  
  • General Administrative duties including typing, filing, emails,
  • Maintaining patient records and case notes
  • Provide support and implementation of digital systems as and when required.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • English Language GCSE or equivalent
  • Recognised IT qualification
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • Customer Care qualification

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge of Human Resource Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of GP computer systems
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of performance Management Systems
  • Experience in SystmOne
