Job overview

Reporting to the Service Delivery and Change Manager within the ICB's Digital Development & Information Governance team, the Digital and Project Support Officer will be responsible for a number of technical and administrative functions underpinning the agreed work programme.

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in technical support - working with colleagues to build and support the mobile telephony estate within the ICB.  They will also be responsible for managing a number of shared mailboxes - answering queries, triaging questions, escalating to other members of the team and other teams as necessary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping the team to collect themes for queries, create knowledge desk articles and to redirect queries to content already published on the Intranet and other support sites.  Also, to regularly review content on the Intranet and other sites to update these and ensure the information remains relevant.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within the NHS within a similar role and within the Derbyshire health and social care system.  We would still encourage applications from candidates who have transferable skills and experience from other sectors.

When required, the successful candidate will be expected to support the Information Governance Officer and Information Standards Lead in supporting the operational  needs of the ICB and Primary and to pick up project work and other requests as required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Manage Subject Access Requests (SAR):

  • Provide support and advice to patients, staff and the public on access to their personal information
  • Maintain and update the IG SAR register
  • Monitor and track SARs to ensure compliance with deadlines

Incident Management

  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of IG incidents ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation and best practice;
  • Provide high quality support for Information incident management and investigations as required internally and by the organisation;
  • Support the investigation process of ICO complaints, including the information collation, reviewing reports and implementation/monitoring of recommendations;
  • Responsible for coordinating and updating of the intranet and internet sites on behalf of the Information Governance and Digital Development Teams.

Digital and Technical Duties

  • Maintain and build Operating System images and deploy to laptops as when required;
  • Responsible for build and deployment of mobile phones and other mobile devices, including the transfer of any user content;
  • Configure IT systems and software to ICB requirements, including ITSM, With Secure mobile protection, Manage Enginde desktop central and OS deployer;
  • Support IT hardware such as Video conferencing equipment, dual monitor setups, Projectors and Smart Televisions;
  • Travel to various corporate and primary care sites to undertake troubleshooting, build and other activities as required;

Education and Experience

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area;
  • Experience within an IT setting with experience of end user computing, first and second level support, including hardware and software support, PC and peripherals setups, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Broad knowledge of Information Governance
