A bright and motivated individual is required to join our ICT Quality and Governance section to take responsibility for accurately allocating and maintaining access to key Trust systems, to enable staff to perform their duties effectively and deliver care to patients.
This is an exciting time to join our busy ICT department, who are fully focused on providing service excellence to support all Trust staff in providing care to patients. The importance of having skilled staff to deliver modern digital services has never been more important as the hospital embraces digital transformation in line with national initiatives to meet patient needs.
The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and be knowledgeable on the need for accuracy with clinical systems. Previous experience of performing access control tasks in relation to granting, removing and changing systems access is desirable.

Main duties of the job
The post of Identity & Access Management - Support Assistant performs routine administration tasks associated with accessing the Trust ICT Network and Systems. This includes secure password administration for providing, withdrawing and maintaining access in line with authorised service requests.
- Perform routine system administration tasks by following defined policy and procedures.
- Provide administration of designated information systems by following procedures
- Receive and ensure that applications for access to information systems are appropriately authorised, and the permissions granted are applicable to the applicant’s job role.
- Issuing and managing Registration Authority (RA) smartcards

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE standard (preferably at least one IT/IS related or Science based subject)
Desirable criteria
- Educated to A-level standard (preferably at least one IT/IS related or Science based subject)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of supporting information systems and accurately applying and maintaining access controls.
- Evidence of writing and implementing operational process/ procedures
Desirable criteria
- Administration of a Health Information Systems
- NHS experience
- Administering access to SaaS/N365/Office 365 products
- Management of Registration Authority (RA) smartcards
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
- Customer liaison skills
- Operational understanding of information system access control
- An understanding of IM&T security issues, particularly relating to access control and understanding of relevant audit processes, including access control lists.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and awareness of NHS data standards and definitions, reporting requirements, and sources and flows of NHS information
- Practical computer and business intelligence skills
- SaaS/N365/Office 365 products
- Knowledge of Registration Authority (RA) smartcards management

- Able to work on your own as well as within a small team Able to communicate with all levels of staff including senior clinicians
