Job overview

This is a temporary post for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

 

We have a great opportunity for a temporary Receptionist in Antenatal Clinic within the Maternity & Gynaecology Care Unit, Family Care Division.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.

Main duties of the job

The Receptionists/ Admin Assistants provide a professional clerical and co-ordination service to the wards and outpatient departments, to ensure that patients and visitors receive a friendly, customer focused and efficient service.

It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

 

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess previous clerical experience, including VDU/keyboard skills, and have experience of using a telephone.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work to deadlines are also essential requirements of this post.

 

This post involves receiving and handling information that is confidential and therefore the post holders must maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

  • Educated to GCSE grade C or above standard including English & Maths (or equivalent)
  • Typing qualification (or equivalent)
