Charity Lead for Fundraising and Engagement

NHS AfC: Band 6

Trosolwg o'r swydd

Are you driven, creative and do you have bags of energy with a passion to make a real difference?

Are you consistent, loyal and want to roll your sleeves up to deliver all aspects of a leadership role within a growing hospital charity?

This is a brand-new role, and we need somebody who is prepared to make improvements every day. It’s going to be a challenge – we know there is a lot to do and though we have an outline strategy and bold plans but more importantly, we’re open to your ideas and we believe in working to the strengths of the people in our teams, so we’re happy to learn from you and develop accordingly.

You’ll be joining a dynamic team, part of a Trust redefining it’s future and focusing on the most important things – our people and the care we provide. This newly established post will develop a range of fundraising activities for our charity and see them through to delivery. You’ll be working flexibly across the days, evenings and into weekends as needed.

You will ensure that fundraising ideas and events are high profile and will generate funds. You will set and (hopefully exceed!) fundraising targets and have a track record of tools such as Just Giving, mail shots, telephone, and face to face fundraising. Legacy, corporate and strategic fundraising experience would be a benefit. You will be proactive, a team player and experienced in delivering presentations and key messages to a range of audiences.

You will have knowledge of fundraising and deliver a fundraising strategy; maximising donations and legacies to support achieving objectives.

Develop and manage the fundraising function, working with both volunteers, colleagues, the local community and partners.

Develop relationships with, and secure financial support from, key high-value prospects, including corporate partners.

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including the Charities Act and Data Protection.

Establish, build and maintain strong relationships with networks and partnerships in order to maximise fundraising activity.

Manage and support all fundraising activities including reporting developments and progress to the Charitable Funds Committee.

Help to prepare funding proposals and submit to potential donors.

Lead fundraising campaigns targeted at the public to raise revenue into specific funds as well as general charitable funds.

We also think it'll be a lot of fun!

Gweithio i'n sefydliad

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Foundation Trust with a strong commitment to delivering the highest standards of clinical quality, patient care and staff experience.

You must be able to go out into the community, building a network and offering high quality fundraising options as well as raising the profile of the charity. We will be appointing for values and we need flexibility in your working pattern to deliver this (including out of office hours as required) with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

You will thrive on interacting with people. You will be a positive motivator, and a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and aware you are key part of #TeamCRH.

This dynamic role needs a hands-on approach. You will need to be able to confidently manage multiple priorities and work well independently. You will have experience of managing stakeholders, capitalising on fundraising opportunities at all levels and developing engaging campaigns/appeals.

This is a great opportunity for somebody with passion and exceptional communication skills – written and verbal. We need your experience to continue building and bring fresh life to our fundraising opportunities – bringing our outline strategy to life. If you have the dedication we're looking for, then we'd love to hear from you. You also think it’ll be a lot of fun!
