Are you looking for your next career move and would like to support our Ward Leader with their administration tasks- we have an exciting opportunity for a matrons administration assistant in the Emergency Dept.

Main duties of the job

You would be supporting the unit and helping our matron to spend more time in the clinical environment by supporting them with their administration tasks. The role will primarily focus on governance support but will also include diary management , arranging meetings , training and absence reviews, producing newsletters

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE level in English (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent keyboard (IT) skills
Desirable criteria
  • European Computer Driving License
  • Previous experience of using Health Roster/similar system
  • Previous experience of Incident reporting (Datix.)
  • Previous experience of using Agresso (procurement.)/ similar system
  • Previous experience of recording of data on iTrent
  • Previous experience of NHSP Interface system.

  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
