Job overview
We have an excellent opportunity to join the Management team in Catering as a Senior Retail Supervisor managing the retail units across sites.
You will have a passion for retail and sales whilst leading the team to support all retail requirements for staff, patient and visitors. With an opportunity to promote income generation. You will have at least 5 years retail experience.
You will have an good knowledge of retail areas, including brand awareness such as Costa and ensure all computerised systems are up to date to reflect financial data.
A flexible approach is required for this position to ensure service standards and expectations are met and sustained, i.e. working weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be responsible for the recruitment, supervision, training and direction of retail team across our retail outlets and hospitality events. Ensure the highest standard of food hygiene is always maintained for visitors, staff and patients.
Ensure working practices are followed in accordance with Trust Food Safety Policy and Food Safety Management System, and legal requirements.
Support and supervise the ordering and safe receipt of goods and maintaining agreed stock levels within the budget for use within the retail outlets.
Plan and undertake monthly management audits for Food Safety and Health & Safety in all of our retail outlets to ensuring 100% legal compliance.
Work with the teams to enhance delivery of the service to all visitors.
Engage with the teams looking for innovations and food trends to enhance the retail offerings to staff, visitors and patients.
Undertake visitor of the retail outlets satisfaction surveys looking for continual improvements.

Skills and Experience
Essential criteria
- English & Maths (9-4 or GCSE Grade C or above)
- Advanced level of IT literacy inc Microsoft Office Suite
- Food Safety Level 3
- Team Leading or Supervising Qualification
- 5 years retail experience
- Experience of using HR experience
Desirable criteria
- Customer Care Qualification
- HACCP Qualification
- Experience in Retail Services and Brand Awareness
- Previous experience of Supervision services and staff
- Health & Safety Qualification Level 3
Skills
Essential criteria
- Computer literate including Microsoft Office suites
