The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service support the health and wellbeing of all Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust staff, volunteers and placement students.  Risks associated with this work include sleep difficulties, musculoskeletal problems, and workplace injuries. We also know that those who work in the ambulance sector are more at risk of mental ill health, suicide and are more likely to attribute work as a contributing factor to their difficulties.

Main duties of the job

This exciting and varied role requires an enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative individual who responds positively to new challenges. The post holder will work under supervision from a Clinical Psychologist within the Wellbeing Service to deliver psychological assessment, intervention and consultation; service improvement projects; psychoeducational workshops; risk management; and reflective practice. The postholder will provide general support to the Wellbeing Service.

Location: Cwmbran or Cardiff bases available

This post is Fixed Term for 2 years

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
