We are looking to recruit a motivated, conscientious and flexible individual to provide the coordination of medical staffing across the Women and Children Collaborative enabling the delivery of quality rotas that are safe, cost-effective, efficient and fair.
Working under the line management of an Admin Manager, the post holder will form a team who will work closely with the operational management team responsible for medical staffing. Key stakeholders will also include Medical Workforce, Agency Team, HR, Medical Job Planning team and medical staff, in order to coordinate staffing operationally.
Applicants must have excellent administrative, customer service, database and Excel skills and an ability to pay particular attention to detail.
This post is based either at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, or Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle to be discussed at interview although some travel between sites may be required. This is a permanent post working 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
Working closely with Medical Workforce, Agency Team, HR, Medical Job Planning team and medical staff to coordinate staffing operationally:
- Coordination of short notice cover
- Coordination of rota gaps and forward planning
- Coordination and communication of medical rotas
- Monitoring of safe staffing compliance
- Monitoring and processing of annual leave and sick leave
- Coordination of sickness processing and escalating in line with the Trust’s Attendance Management Policy
- Monitoring of compliance with Junior Doctors Contract (2016), The SAS Doctors Contract (2008) and the Consultant Contract (2003), plus the Working Time Regulations and all relevant policies and procedures
- Preparation of management reports as required

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:
Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.80 = £30.80. Deducted at £9.80 from 1st month salary and £7 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.80 = £48.80. Deducted at £15.80 from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
