Job overview

The post holder will manage the day to day running of the South  Cumbria Integrated Community Care Group Site Services, co-ordinating all activities supporting community services within those sites. 

Responsible for the operational management of site service’s in  accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards,  controls and resource constraints.

The post holder will provide a professional administration leadership support service to the Care Group Service Managers  and Team Leaders across South Cumbria to enable clinical  services to operate effectively. 

Main duties of the job

• The post-holder is responsible for supporting the Care Group Service Managers in the overall  operational and management of the administrative services across South Cumbria and to be the lead on community estates and facilities issues, ensuring appropriate and efficient use of Community resources and accommodation on behalf of the Integrated Community Care Group. 
• To actively participate in the various facilities, Safety and Security meetings on behalf of the Community Care group ensuring required actions are cascaded to the relevant teams.
• To provide a Professional Administration Leadership Advisory role to the Care Group Service Managers and Team Leads.

Working for our organisation

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre. 

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services. 

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses. 

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
