Job overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled administrator who is passionate about helping to reduce health inequalities and improving health equity to join our busy team. You should have some relevant experience with excellent organisational, communication and I.T. skills.

This is a great opportunity to join a fun team, provide a wide range of professional administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our Integrated Care Community. The role will be varied and flexibility is a must! Duties will include: support for the core leadership team; telephone support including direct patient contact; setting up meetings and compiling documentation; preparing presentations and display materials; administration at meetings including the multi disciplinary team meeting, record keeping and to actively engage with and support our population health agenda.

 

Main duties of the job

Clerical support to the ICC Core Team to enable the smooth running of the ICC.

Provide non-clinical telephone support to patients which enables clinicians to focus on clinical functions whilst delivering a patient focused service .

Provide administrative services to the ICC and team members in support of a wide range of initiatives to include data extraction, preparing presentations, documentation and materials.

Agenda preparation, minute taking and compiling meeting documentation for a variety of meetings including ICC Team Meetings and MDT Meetings         

Maintain a suitable archive to facilitate document recovery in line with organisational policies and procedures. This encompasses both electronic and manual systems as required.

Regular liaison with a range of partners across our ICC footprint.

Most importantly - be part of a fun and vibrant team, contributing your ideas for improvements and supporting continuous development of Bay ICC in partnership with our members.

Working for our organisation

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre. 

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services. 

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses. 

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay. 

This role will be working within Bay ICC which includes close working with Bay Primary Care Network and Bay Medical Group.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or relevant equivalent experience
  • Ability to take notes, create agendas, organise meetings, create accurate minutes and Action Logs
  • Excellent communication skills
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working with NHS data entry systems such as EMIS, Lorenzo, Aristotle.
