Speech & Language Therapy Team Lead - Stroke - Band 7

NHS AfC: Band 7

Trosolwg o'r swydd

An exciting opportunity has arisen  for an enthusiastic and energetic Speech and Language Therapist to lead and develop the North Cumbria  stroke team.

This team works closely within the stroke service to deliver  high quality Speech and Language Therapy provision across acute and the community settings linking in with ESSDT and ICCs. Given the semi rural nature of this region, telemedicine has been used for some time and is well established as mode of therapy delivery.  We also have a well established award winning Speech After Stroke Service providing ongoing support in the community

This post will primarily be based at Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle on a busy HASU and rehabilitation ward  but there will be a requirement to travel around North Cumbria to provide a service into the community and to manage the wider stroke team and develop services.

The North Cumbria Speech and Language Therapy team is a small, friendly, supportive team with good opportunities for ongoing training. We have a well developed supervision and peer support system in place.
