North Cumbria Integrated Care has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Administration Lead/PA to join the Radiology team.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the administration team based in Radiology. The successful candidate would be required to work 70 percent of their time based at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and 30 percent of their time at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of high-quality management of the Administration services for Radiology at NCIC. Services include management of the Radiology Medical Secretary/Administrators, Site Deputy Office Leads, Appointment Supervisors and Clerical Officers.

Utilise the above team to ensure provision of a quality service, meeting of performance targets, and maintaining sufficient administration cover to meet the Trust wide Radiology service needs 7 days a week.

The post holder is required to provide administrative support to the Radiology management team and Lead Radiographers which will include weekly Radiologist rotas, Radiologist on-call rotas, minute taking at meetings and invoicing of external referrals to Radiology.

The postholder will be provided with training to undertake invoicing of external referrers for radiology examinations acquired at North Cumbria.

The scope of these services covers the following sites: Cumberland Infirmary (CIC), West Cumberland Hospital (WCH), Workington Community Hospital (WoCH), Penrith, and Keswick with admin staff based at all except the latter.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
