An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Programme Manager to work with our Care Collaboratives and Digital Programmes team, helping to support a transformational digital modernisation programme and introduce an electronic patient record system.

The Senior Programme Manager role combines knowledge of programme/project management, digital technology, benefits management and change management to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of Digital Health solutions in clinical settings.

The post holder will work with internal digital and clinical teams to identify, develop, plan, implement, and measure initiatives that deliver the digital strategy, Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation and support quality patient care and professional practice.

The Senior Programme Manager will work closely with the The Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO), The Associate Director of Digital Health and the Head of Digital Programmes to deliver the Trust’s digital strategy with particular focus on making the digital strategy work for clinicians, supporting the objectives to:

  • Use technology and information to enable smarter, safer working
  • Digitise our health and care records so that information can be shared quickly, appropriately, securely, to improve health outcomes
  • Provide public facing digital services
  • Understand our data and its context to be able to make informed decisions to improve patient care and population health

The Senior Programme Manager for the Trust’s EPR Programme will be acting at a strategic/corporate level, managing a highly complex programme to deliver an electronic patient record solution and enabling infrastructure to the Trust.

The postholder will provide intensive advice to high-level line managers, contribute to the overall strategy of the EPR programme and lead and develop project managers.  They will have experience of programme and project management, of managing different interfaces and of programme and project methods and tools.
