Medical Day Case Administrator

Do you want to make a difference to each patient’s experience of the NHS as they proceed through their journey? The Medical Day Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital is recruiting now and we want you!

We are looking for a motivated, organised, friendly person who works well under pressure to join our team. 

If you enjoy working within a team and have great communication skills to deal with patients and their relatives, and the multi-disciplinary team then we would love to hear from you.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week, this role includes weekends and bank holidays.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring an optimum level of efficient clerical support to the nursing and medical staff in a timely and accurate manner. The successful individual will have contact with patients, carers and all members of the multi professional team, as such they will provide front of house services for the Ward/Unit. The post holder will be pivotal to the effective management of all outpatient, elective and planned waiting lists in order that patients receive the most appropriate appointment, having taken into account the clinical needs of the patient, suitable appointment availability, organisational values and NHS targets. To act as a first point of contact for the unit, co-ordinate all patient appointments and manage enquiries, escalating as necessary
