Job overview

This exciting role is to work as a Clinical Support Worker Higher Level within the multidisciplinary team working across Redcar PCN within Tees Community Nursing. 

This is an opportunity for those who are interested in working in the local community and being part of an exciting new model of working in the community localities of Redcar And Cleveland.

Candidates must have:

  • Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 (GCSE A-C or 4-9) 
  • Care certificate (willing to work towards if already holds NVQ level 3)    

Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties and/or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3 - Theoretical knowledge, Experience of a range of care and related procedures, Clinical observations & Knowledge of relevant legislation

Access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the community nursing team; we  deliver a 7 day service, including some weekends.

The post holder will undertake a broad range of care activities, including wound care and venepuncture

The role will require some flexibility and this may require the post holder to work across acute and community in response to service demands.

To support the delivery of patient care and other duties that contributes to the care environment. This might include, for example, having a “Link” role; supporting therapy and nursing/medical staff.

To support the delivery of a range of duties that support patient care and maintain a suitable working environment.
