This is an excellent new opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Physiotherapist. 

South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in the country, close to the North Yorkshire Moors and within easy reach of Newcastle and Leeds.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Team.  Your role will be as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health based at The James Cook University Hospital. 

The post holder will be expected to have substantial experience in  Pelvic Health and to have relevant post graduate study at Masters level or completion of the Advanced Clinical Practice Portfolio. 

The Physiotherapy Service is a well established large progressive and dynamic service, which continues to develop within the Trust.  The team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from the Service Lead for the musculoskeletal team and from the Head of Physiotherapy.

This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills.  Staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops, team discussions and clinical supervision.  There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will have the responsibility for providing a specialist service for patients who present with pelvic health conditions who require assessment, diagnosis and treatment  for their condition.
  • The post holder will act independently in the management of the complex caseload and will be responsible in planning the treatment of the patient.
  • The post holder will provide support, information, and advice to patients, parents, carers and other members of the multidisciplinary team on all aspects of the service and ongoing holistic patient care.
  • The post holder will network with multidisciplinary colleagues within the Trust for the purpose of developing practice, audit, development of standardised patient information and clinical supervision.

  • To hold a degree or relevant Diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • To hold a State registration in Physiotherapy
  • To hold a post-graduate Masters or have completed a portfolio of professional development which evidences an advanced level of clinical practice in line with HEE (2017) framework for ACP
  • To have completed accredited training in specialist area where available and to have ongoing evidence of continuing professional development within the specialist field.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive post registration experience working at a senior level within the speciality area.
  • Experience of student and junior supervision.
