**We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000**

The relocation package is for anyone in a clinical role at Band 5 or above, who would need to relocate in order to take up employment with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership.

To be eligible for the relocation payment, you must live more than 40 miles from the base/location of the post you are applying for and you would need to relocate to within 15 miles of the new base.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative CBT Therapist to work in our Community Mental Health Team in  Vale Royal, covering primarily Winsford and Northwich. 

The post holder will be delivering CBT for people with complex emotional needs and will need a Post graduate diploma or masters in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for PD, or be in their final year of training (this would be at a Band 6 and then a Band 7 on qualifying).

Alongside direct therapeutic work with individuals and their families, you will also provide consultation and support to our MDT colleagues. In addition to individual work, you will have the opportunity to help us develop and deliver a groupwork programme to promote recovery.  You will also have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing service developments. An interest in research and audit is encouraged and supported.

Specialist supervision will be provided for the post and there will be opportunities for the development of clinical skills, including training in therapies.

Qualifications

  • Post graduate diploma or masters in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • CBT certification, accredited by BABCP (British Assoc. of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy)

  • Training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology.
  • Additional psychotherapy qualification, e.g. EMDR/DBT/CBT for psychosis and bipolar disorder

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BABCP
  • Specialist knowledge and expertise in relation to a particular problem area ( psychosis / bipolar disorder / personality disorder / complex trauma / PTSD).

  • Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health
  • Knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis as practised within the clinical fields of psychology.
  • Formal training in supervision Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-media materials suitable for presentations within public, professional and academic settings.

Experience

  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and intervention within the NHS for clients presenting with complex psychological problems
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems and verbal and physical abuse
  • Experience of liaison with other health professionals
  • Experience of engaging and sustaining work with clients who may be ambivalent about making changes
  • Experience working with factors which can impede therapeutic success (dissociation, blocking beliefs, attachment dynamics, emotional stabilisation skills etc)
  • Experience of exercising responsibility for clients’ psychological care and working autonomously within the context of multi-disciplinary working
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk in a mental health setting
  • Experience of writing reports for varied audiences
