Job overview

Warrington & Halton Hospital is looking to recruit an amazing Radiographer to join their team in Interventional Radiology, Cath lab and Fluoroscopy.

We are the ‘hidden-gem’ of the North-West and if you are a motivated, hard- working professional, who wants to progress in your career, then “WE ARE” the perfect place for you.

We are a team that is keen to push boundaries and develop our staff from within.  We support Radiographer Advanced practise in all areas of the department.

We encourage self-development and fully support attendance at National and International Conferences to ensure we get the best outcomes for our patients.  In recent years we had delegates and presenters at UKIO, RSNA, BNMS and BEMUS.

In return, we expect a team approach.  The ideal candidate must demonstrate commitment to their own personal development and show a keen interest in the future development of our service. They would ideally have experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath lab but this is not essential.

Main duties of the job

This role involves working within a small team of radiographers, nurses and support staff on the Interventional Radiology Day Case Unit which comprises of an I.R theatre with 5 bed day case ward attached.  We perform a wide range of Interventional procedures including vascular, urological, G.I and gynaecological.  We also perform general fluoroscopic procedures such as barium swallows and video fluoroscopy.  The Cardiac Catheter lab is a separate unit with a 10 bedded ward attached, compromising again of a small team of nurses and radiographers performing diagnostic procedures and device insertions.

This role is an exceptional opportunity for a committed professional with excellent interpersonal skills to further develop their experience in a supportive environment within a forward-thinking Trust.

The post holder will work clinically as a valued member of the Team and ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care.

We support new staff by ensuring they are on a mentorship programme to support their transition to our Trust, which ensures that you will feel confident and competent in your role.

We have plenty of opportunities for CPD including research, audits, CPD meetings. So come and join a dynamic and exciting department, where we are committed to supporting and encouraging our staff!
