NHS Medical & Dental: Specialty Trainee (ST3-5)

Whether you are just starting out in your career or are looking to use your skills and experience in a new role, East Cheshire NHS Trust is the right employer for you. Join our team and support our vision of delivering the right care first time, every time.

Job overview

Applications are invited from a highly motivated and dynamic doctor to apply for a vacancy within our Gastroenterology Team  on a Locum Appointment for Service (LAS) basis.

The post is not recognised for training; however, it will provide valuable clinical exposure supported by a range of training opportunities.

Why Macclesfield?

  • A small and friendly DGH where everyone counts in our team. In a recent visit (May 2016) Health Education England NW noted that ‘all trainee groups would recommend the trust as a place to work. Trainees indicated that they felt appreciated and said the trust provided a supportive and friendly working environment.'
  • The Trust is ideally located where the Peak District meets the Cheshire Plain, yet only 20 minutes by train from central Manchester and its airport. Training in a location with the best of all worlds a DGH within reach of Countryside and City.
  • Numerous activities nearby; biking for roadies and mountain bikers, walking in the Peaks and on the Plains, running, climbing, sailing as well as big city shopping and clubbing in nearby Manchester.

Hours per week: 40
