NHS AfC: Band 3

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new member to join the Medical Resourcing Team at MCHFT. This will be on a fixed term basis up to 2 years.

As a Medical Resourcing Officer you will provide varied and general administrative support to the Medical Resourcing function focusing on specific areas of the service.  You will need to be customer focussed and motivated on providing a first class service to our users.

The role is great for networking and building relationships with different departments. You will work closely with all medical staff, senior managers, HR teams, divisional service teams, outside agencies and other Trust staff as necessary.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to embrace and develop this fast paced and interesting role. You must be an effective communicator, possess excellent IT skills (Outlook, MS Teams, Microsoft Word and Excel), have excellent accuracy and attention to detail and be able to organise and prioritise your work.

This role is office based at Infinity House, Crewe  and the working hours are Monday to Friday  09.00-17.00.  Once you've settled in, and "learned the ropes," we can discuss a hybrid working pattern.

The Medical Resourcing Team are friendly and supportive, there is no I in Team! You need a strong work ethic as it is a busy role, however, we will provide you with all the training and support you need to establish yourself in the role.

Main duties of the job

You will provide administrative support to the Medical Resourcing Co-Ordinator for specific areas of the Medical Resourcing function:

  • Doctors in Training
  • CED Programme
  • Clinical Attachments & Honorary Contracts
  • Compliance

The post holder will also be expected to provide cross cover and administrative support as and when required to the wider Medical Resourcing Team to maintain service provision.

It is a very busy role so we need someone with:

*Excellent IT Skills - we use various systems within the team including Microsoft Office packages and external platforms. Full training will be provided.

*Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills - it is very busy, no day is the same but if you love a varied role then this is for you!

*Outstanding customer service - You'll be liaising with internal and external stakeholders daily at all levels of seniority therefore good communication skills and a professional manner is essential.

*Creativity - we are always looking at new ways to do things and improve our service so ideas are always welcome!
